Good evening everyone. I recently had a rifle built in 6xc. So far it has been very accurate and a joy to shoot. I did load development earlier on this year in some cold temperatures and found a load of 39.5 gr H4350 shot really well with great SD numbers and ran with it. I ran out of my last 1lb jug of H4350 and cracked open a new 8lb jug that seemed quite a bit faster than the last, so I dialed back a half grain and got to my speed of 2975 that shot great. This weekend I went to the range and checked my speeds:
115 Dtac over 39 grains of H4350 jumped. .020 gave me 3006 fps from a 26" 1:7.5 twist barrel. Temp was right at 70° I was starting to see ejector marks on the cases..
Am I dealing with a possible carbon ring in the throat? Any help would be awesome!
