Bullseye 1 Mile Video Camera System "Issues"

I bought the Bullseye 1 mile camera system in Feb., 2018. It sat in our room till a couple weeks ago. I charged it all up, took it out and tried to use it. After uploading the App onto my IPhone 7, I tried to open the app. It took 11-12 tries before it would "stick" and stay open. I then tried to connect it the Bullseye system, which is did on the wifi pretty quickly. After setting up the camera and "sizing" my steel target on the program I moved back to 300 yrds. It seemed to work pretty good, I was able to get some great pics of the shots I took. Then it "disconnected" from the camera. I had to go through the whole process again of opening the app, reconnecting to the wifi, resizing my target, etc. Again, I was able to get a couple more good pics. Backed up to 800yrds. and went to connect it all again. Same issues opening the app, it took about a dozen tries before the app would stay open. After connecting to the wifi, resizing my target, etc. I went to shoot. System flashes that it's disconnected from the camera. So, I go through the whole process again. Same thing. The system would not stay connected to the camera. I have an absolute direct path from where I was shooting and not even a blade of grass between me (receiving unit) and the camera; I even had the receiver elevated about 5ft off ground to improve the line of sight. Got frustrated, put it away. Took it out two days ago to try it again, and had all the same issues. This time I only was at 300 yrds and could not keep the unit connected to the camera. Finally I just got so frustrated I put it away so I could shoot and not run out of day light. Anyone else have one of these and have issues with it? I tried finding a contact number to the company, or web site, and could only come up with a Facebook link (bought it from Midway). Spending that kind of money on a unit, it should work!!!

Sounds like its an issue with your phone. I have no issues with mine and know a bunch of people that have never had any issues. Maybe reboot your phone and reinstall the app. Only time mine does the not sticking thing on an app rebooting does the trick.

That doesn't make sense. Maybe opening the APP, but the camera disconnecting from the receiver has nothing to do with the phone. I can't keep the Camera system and the receiver connected.

By chance was it cold when you were using your camera?
No, 65 degrees and sunny. Tried it again today. Connected up fast. Raised the camera this time, and put the receiver way up on top my truck, just kept disconnecting from the camera, after I'd get it all set up each time. I'm about ready to chuck the thing. Emailed their Facebook and never got a reply. Their web site isn't operating anymore.

Ok I just wanted to check because I have to use hand warmers around the batteries when it’s cold. My iPhone 8 wont work with the recent update to the app, I called twice and they said iPhone 7 and up it will work but I don’t think that is correct. I have no problems with a iPad and a iPhone 10. The updates to the app are horrible but I finally figured out how to get away from all the target set up and go to live stream, just wish I could record the live stream like in the previous app. If you can borrow a iPad to try I would do that before chucking it, they do work really good once set up and 1000yd is no problem.

I had the same issues with mine, with an iPhone 6, Samsung tablet and now an iPhone 8. I just couldn't get it to do much apart from an occasional view of the target with no picking up bullet holes. This was at 300 to 600meters and warmish weather with good line of site. It is now gathering dust in my garage though I will give it one more chance with an ipad before it becomes victim to the garage clean up..

Mine never connected to my Ipad. Called and was told that the part needing replacement was not available for a few months. Put it away 2 yrs ago and have never used it since.

The new Target Manager doesn't support the older camera systems anymore. You either have to download V3.29 or take advantage of the "Loyalty" program. Turn in the old one and get a new one at 50% discount.

https://www.shootingmadeeasy.com/ is the website for Bullseye but don't expect much. I have the original long distance Bullseye and it quit working. I used the contact tab on there website a few times and have emaild them in the past with no response.

I did just notice a phone number for them 877.269.8490 while checking out the website.

I think I am going to steer clear of the Bullseye cameras from now on and look into something else.

Not a problem with my Android, but my friends iPhone disconnects constantly. Try someone's Android phone and see if it happens with it. My guess is the phone, but just my uneducated guess.....

Thanks, I just called them. Not the response I wanted to hear. He said he'd mail me a "troubleshooting" list to try, and if I still couldn't get it to work email/call them back.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully, they will get you sorted out and up and running again soon.

Me personally think that their customer service is one of the worse I have delt with. I generally give a company a chance to help out but several emails have gone with no response at all makes me wonder. I will spend my money elsewhere next time.

Good luck, hope it works out for you.

We tried camera systems, but not specifically the Bullseye 1-mile one, and gave up on the idea. We were simply spending way too much time fiddling with the camera systems.

Now we use the MagnetoSpeed T1000 hit indicator lights ($150 ea), and we love them. You don't get location-on-target information like a camera system, but they are dead simple and only need to be set up once at the beginning of the season. We don't have to waste any time on shooting days fiddling with anything. When you're the shooter, it's very satisfying to have the instant gratification of the bright flashing red light to indicate a hit without ever having to come off the scope. You can see the light with a naked eye at a mile, even in bright sunlight.

Added bonus - we installed them on eight different targets, so we can shoot multi-target courses of fire with hit indicators - not something easily done with camera systems. And in a timed competition scenario, the feedback is instant - no time needed to check for hits on a camera system (or even to wait for a confirmation from a spotter).

I've got one of the older 1000 yard systems and my problem is the app not working on my Iphone 6S. I can download the document on my laptop and it will work but I cant get the app to work on my Iphone 6S

I bought the LR system several years ago, and never took the time to overcome the issue of not being able to see the screen of my laptop outdoors because of the reflection. I think it worked at that time, I just couldn't ever figure out how to eliminate the background reflection on the laptop's display. I wish I had my $500 back, and the company I bought it from had a feather up their....then we'd both be tickled.

If I had that money back, it'd go towards one of Adam's Shot Marker systems - several clubs that run XC HP matches out to 600yds are using them, and having very good results.

Range: two miles. Price: $800 plus $185 for each additional target. Not clear if you need to also buy the $50 cable pack for additional targets. That's still way cheaper than I ever would have guessed. I just assumed those systems were super expensive and totally out of reach price-wise for individuals or small clubs.

Yes, I have one of these flash-indicators. They are COOL!!! We use them on almost all our long range steel targets at our range when we shoot. Biggest challenge is getting the velcro to remain stuck on the targets.
