spotting scope ?

I am looking for recommendations on a spotting scope that will allow me to see 223 bullet holes in paper at 300 yds

Good luck!

Tried same the other week at a match.
My Celestron C70 couldn't see them.
Fellow beside my with a Ziess couldn't see them.
Another high end spotter couldn't see them.

I'm convinced that if you want to see your holes at distance past 200 yards, you need to make bigger holes! :D

I have a Celestron that can easily see 30cal holes at 300... BUT during the summer in Texas with the heat waves nothing is good... No matter how much you spend in my opinion nothing can see through the heat waves... You can spend whatever you can afford , the sky is the limit I guess.... I have nothing bad to say about my Celestron Ultima 80 even after years of use and I have looked through more than a few more expensive brands.... You can see flys that far so I would say you could see .22 cal holes on white paper of course but once again not with the heat waves...

Do what? I see my 22 holes easily from just my rifle scope at 300 yards.

I can see 22 bullet holes at 300 with my vortex razor spotting scope. I use plain white paper with orange stick on dots for targets. If using a black target you probably won't see them. I can see 6.5 and 7mm holes with my golden eagle rifle scope but never had it on my 223 so not sure about the smaller holes.

You should quantify what you are shooting at. Holes on white paper, holes in black bullseye, holes in orange spotters, holes in shoot-n-see?

I generally shoot at white paper targets and black bullseye targets at club matches where it would be great to see the holes in the black bullseye.

I bought the Kowa 883 and am VERY impressed I also bought the 25X EER eye piece to replace the the 20-60X.

Swarovski or Nightforce! Kowa in 3re place, then Vortex Razor.
If you can, look through them, OUTSIDE, first. Your eyes have alot to do with it.
Mirage and target color, as mentioned above, play a big role.
If you are really serious, put a set of spotters in a bracket and have high end binoculars, commonly called BigEyes.
