I have had a Bat M for several years, it’s had several barrels in different calibers on it.
I have always suspected that it’s a little off in it’s accuracy potential.
I chambered up a 12 twist Krieger HV barrel for it, 6BR, and in my opinion it shot mediocre, at best. I have a similar barrel on my Bat Neuvo HV, and it shoots like a Benchrest Rifle with the Bart’s 80 grn BT.
So, two weeks ago, I took the barrel off of the big M and re threaded the tenon for my Neuvo. (1.125 16 tpi to 1.062 18 tpi).
The barrel now shoots great.
Since I am getting ready to use this M on another project, I am curious if anybody has any tips on making them shoot better. Maybe in the firing pin/ ignition department.
