I have a Benchmark barrel in 204R that has 6700 rounds thru it. It still shoots under .200 inches 5 shot groups at 100 yds. You can shoot 100 shots with that accuracy. The copper fouling is bad, but it still shoots. 39gr Blitzking and R10 powder. I have shot out 2 20tac Benchmark barrels at 3500 rounds.with aa2520 and 39 gr Blitzkings. You never know.Just curious as to how many rounds before they started "falling off", powder choice effect noticed and those still going strong after x amount of shots.
It'll largely depend on a couple things, your choice of which 20 cal cartridge you pick and how you shoot it. I've had three different 20's, a 20-222, 204 Ruger, and 20-250, the only one I no longer have is the 204 Ruger.Just curious as to how many rounds before they started "falling off", powder choice effect noticed and those still going strong after x amount of shots.
Then chamber up a 20-222 and be done. They have a pretty long neck.I have what should be a VT no turn. Toying w running it in deep for something close to a VTT or maybe TAC held short but extending neck to .350 in either. I like long necks, caint hep it.![]()
20 Practical WOA AR 15 barrel. I shoot the Hornady 32 gr. ZMAX exclusively with enough H322 for 3800 fps. I pulled the barrel at 5200 rounds. At this point, the group size had doubled or slightly more. Normally I shoot 30 rounds per hour and try to keep the barrel in the shade. But I do get it hot occasionally when there are too many pups to ignore.Just curious as to how many rounds before they started "falling off", powder choice effect noticed
