Finally made it fishing!

Have not been fishing in over two years. Decided to go for a couple of hours this afternoon. No bass boat, no lures. Just a couple of reels and some red worms and crickets sitting on the bank. Had a ball.

With the help of my old friend, Jack, CC7740F9-135C-4D77-A823-B7681861D56C.jpegI should have these cleaned in about an hour.

Life is good!:)

Most excellent! Missed the Crappie run at Taylorsville Lake due to weather and car repairs. Bass activity on the rise, so perhaps this week will I be free to try.

Got surgery Wednesday so was gonna hook the boat up today for the first time this year.
Fired up the tow vehicle Friday and took it for a ride, it stopped running and had to have it towed to the local shop.
Won’t be able to get in the boat for a month or so after surgery.
Oh well.....

You probably started out fishing from the bank just like I did. At the time, had no concern about biking in a boat. It’s still just as much fun. Something about going back to the simple things.

Will do.
Most of the crappie have moved back out here but, they don’t all spawn at the same time. You can still catch them shallow.
Also, they don’t stop eating after the run. They just move depler for the most part and suspend. They bite year around if you know where to fish for them.

Had a darn good day out today too. For those wanting to try the spot it’s 16nm north of the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere in the Indian Ocean.

Fried fish and squid very nice washed down with a beer
