FIRE FORMING 6.5-06 ACKLEY IMPROVED CASES

100% spot on!... both in borescope and good brass!....Great advice for ya antelopedundee.

LSherm,
What have you found that works so good on your carbon,... I’m on top of mine but I’m curious of what your doing?
Wayne
Sharp Shooter R carb out, its phenomenal on cleaning the carbon out of your barrels.

Someone suggested to use a case full of Bullseye.

Trail Boss, maybe.
Bullseye, i'm glad your in a different state. o_O

When i fireform, i usually load a mid charge of powder, and seat the bullet to touching the lands.
You'll be happy with the casing when it comes out, and overpressure shouldn't be a worry.

I have my cases fire formed. Used Nosler .270 Win brass. FL resized them and went to expand them with a Sinclair .263 mandrel so I could turn them. One of the shoulders actually collapsed when the expander went in. In the process I had a couple old Winchester brand .270 Win cases that I fire formed to use as practice cases to set up the turner. The shoulders collapsed on both of those. Common problem or crappy brass?
