7mm rem mag powder choice

I am looking to load for my new 7mm Rem Mag. I am planning on shooting a Berger 180 VLD Hunting. Don't want to waste a lot of time testing several different powders if I can get down to the best one to start with.

There is no best one to start with ! Every gun is different and ussually likes a different powder. Don't kill the messenger ! Sometimes you get lucky and hit the nail on the head, first powder works perfectly. Other times it might be the 5th or 6th powder that is crazy accurate ! I would try us869 powder up around the 80 grains area. I like it in the 338 Lapua .

RL-22 performs will in my nesika custom! 70Gr with 140 Nosler BT for 3165fps and shoots .2-.3

Twist? Specific make & model of your 7mm Mag? We'd all love to help but in reality, you have about 20 great powders to choose from. My favorite is IMR 7977. Ramshot Magnum is another great one.

so your getting consistent groups in the .1s?..
Your competing with it I hope.

I load for 8 different 7mm mag rifles and they all love h-1000 with 180 bergers. I won a shoot last year with my 7mm was only guy to hit 18in plate @ 1820yds.

I’ve turned a lot of people on to that load and they all agreed
