6x45 Build

I have a Stevens 200 center feed in .223 Boyd’s stock. Currently has a SSS single shot floor plate.

I have a new 6x45 barrel and nut to replace the .223 barrel and I want to add A DBM set up.

I know I will have to mod the stock to fit the bottom metal.

I was thinking PTG on the bottom metal but I am open to all suggestions

Let me know what you think

Boyd's has a new detachable mag and bottom metal for thier stocks, AICS I believe.

Is this a Shilen barrel? Getting ready to order a 6x45 myself and am debating bullet weights, throat, etc.

It is a Benchmark Barrel I purchased from a member here. It is new unfired.

It does not have as much free bore as I would like. It is an 8 twist.

Plan to shoot 85 / 87 gr bullets. I may shoot some 70 gr pills too.

I was originally going to put it on an Axis I have in a Boyds stock. But I have decided to put it in a Stevens 200 that currently has a SSS single shot plug.

I would really like to add a DBM set up.

+1 on the CDI Precision DBM. They are good people... Also, look at the ACCURATE MAG (SKU: 00100-0038) .223 5-round magazine, it can easily be modified to accept cartridge lengths close to 2.5". My 6x45 with a 80-grain Ballistic Tip bullet is 2.424" long and this magazine worked perfectly with a 5-min. modification, super smooth feeding.
