Bedding MPA Chassis

I did not take the cerakote off before doing one of mine as I knew as some point I was going to swap the action over to a different chassis. Held up perfectly for thousands of rounds yet I was still able to chisel it out.

Bedding the MPA is a great idea since it is next to impossible to get the action straight every time. Having said that, make sure the level in the chassis is level to the chassis (level the chassis then check the level that is on the chassis), then level the action when bedding it. All you really need to bed is the lug.

No, you need to bed the front and rear bridge. Even with a Defiance actions ,the many chassis I've bedded have a great deal of tension when torqued down. Bedding the lug does nothing to alleviate that. This Defiance had .030" flex in the unbedded chassis, most have around .020" that I've done. All have <.001" after bedding.

.030 flex where? Front to back?

I bedded mine but don't have any pix available. I bed every single action/stock combo. Very easy to bed and if you plan to keep the same action in the chassis then there is probably no reason not to. Did it help accuracy, probably not.
I personally don't technically consider bedding an accuracy changer per se in most cases. I consider it making the gun more repeatable over time and changing conditions and it also allows an action to be brought back to the same repeatably when removed. These are very importsnt issues for eliminating POI shifts... which to me is not technically accuracy.
