Cancelled matches ?

MD of an April 4 match just confirmed it is still on. Are there matches being cancelled due to virus panic?

UPDATE: This match was postponed until April 25, yesterday..

Viruses live only seconds in direct sunlight. The ultraviolet light of the sun kills them almost immediately! Unless you French kiss your fellow competitors I think we will be OK. If the match directors follow the guide lines pretty much all matches will be cancelled.
It sucks but all gatherings of 10 or more are being banned, it doesn't matter if indoors or out.
Living in the north east we wait all winter for matches to start.

Yesterday a local range has closed for the remainder of the month.

Atglen has cancelled all matches, clays and banned guests at least until March 31. Also advised, if you're sick, do not come to the range.

The California Mid Range State Championships will be postponed to a later date.

Last I heard, the POTUS suggested no gatherings of more than 10 people.
I have not seen a ban......... not saying I am up on the news these days.

Not saying we should take this virus lightly, however an outdoor event with nobody sharing spit.... I think we are good.

Come on people I'm not saying this virus isn't real but we haven't heard nothing about Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden or any of that other bullshit since we got this virus. This looks like the same play out of the democratic playbook, create a problem then create a panic. It's the same one that they use for gun control, create a mass shooting go after all guns. The sad part is look how the people have fallen right into the trap. The Democrats basically know now to control the people give them something to be scared about and they follow along like sheep to a cliff.

As of right now I have notified all our 600 yard Manatee shooters that our events are ON. South Florida has lots of visitors bringing the mess here. In spite of that we think we can still go on.

The club is open, don't kiss your neighbor and keep your hands on your own equipment. It is an outdoor activity where close contact does not have to be. Now if the club shuts down, that's another story.

Bald Eagle Rifle League in Central Pennsylvania (Indoor, .22 rimfire gallery type league) has cancelled the remaining 3 matches in the 2019-2020 season.

Add the GSSF (Glock ) match to the list at Bridgeville ,DE rifle club this weekend. Might be rescheduled for Oct. if the world hasn`t come to an end. Jeff

Mulligan, Your understanding of the Pres`s statement is correct. Suggestion. Not a ban.If they ban 10 or less I guess we`ll need to take a number to get into the grocery stores. Stay safe, Jeff

As a match director in today sue happy world I would postpone matches. I just postpone our Texas State 22lr prs match because our County has outlawed 50 people or larger events. I could still have the event but if someone gets sick and decides to sue me or the range which they could because I went against orders given by our county. I could not fight that!

This is where the problem arises, any judge with a brain between his ears should throw the case out the window. With a "what the hell is wrong with you and why are you wasting my time" NO ONE FORCED YOU TO GO TO THE MATCH"!!!! "YOU DID IT ON YOUR OWN SO YOU TOOK THE RESPONSIBILITY ON YOUR SELF" ah but there I did it to myself no one remembers what "RESOPNSIBLITLY" is and they sure as hell are not going to blame themselves. WTF has this world come to??? Very sad and I sure pity my grandchildren.

Sorry about the rant but the older I get the less I can tolerate stupidity.
