That is the point....NONE! They all died eating lead contaminated rats. If lead containing projectiles are banned maybe the condors will return to the indoor ranges. It has also decimated the elephant population on our ranges.

Keep bashing California like it couldn't happen to you. But once they get a foothold, they'll come for your state too. You may be in a state that will never yield, but once they get enough states, they'll go for federal firearms control. You may feel safe with Trump but don't there will eventually be another democrat president. Some of the replies to this thread remind me of the guy in a sinking boat who wouldn't help bail because the hole was in the other end of the boat.

They stopped it in VA (for the time being) and we have stopped it in KY for now, but they'll be back!

I mainly contribute to the CRPA because I think there is more bang for the buck (pardon the pun) for money sent to them for legislative action. Right or wrong thinking, the NRA seems to have abandoned us here, and I think that is a mistake,as many other states have followed Kalifornia's lead in the legislation department. It is a sad fact that many of us shooters are apathetic when it comes to rattling the sword, I have asked too many times at our gun club meeting have you contacted your legislator or even voted and gotten a response of " it doesn't make a difference,or my vote doesn't count..." If we give up we are doomed. Jim

I am in the belly of the beast, eastern San Francisco bay area, and if one thing is clear, it is that the will of the majority of Californians is hostile to gun owners. This majority has unsurprisingly, elected a super majority of anti-gun politicians to represent them. We are outnumbered bu a huge margin and will never win legislatively. It is mathematically impossible. The only way to win is in the courts, where there is the power to overturn the will of the people and their representatives who put forth unconstitutional legislation. Donating to the NRA, CRPA, or other groups helps fund these costly efforts.

In all seriousness the only way these people in the government now and putting these laws into effect are going to be stopped is for sportsmen and women to stop wanting others, as some say "Where is the NRA" etc, etc. We are the NRA, California Rifle & Pistol, etc, etc. and it going to take a joint effort and the total of the individual voters to take them out of office.
So far the fruitcakes are beating us at the voting booths.

Bill, I totally agree with you in that it will take a concerted effort on the part of all the people who like the shooting sports to get out and make sure their voices are heard. I like to think we as a voting block still have a chance to change things. yes I may be naive, but I just can't bear to see us go down without a fight, we don't necessarily have to be the majority,we just have to get more people voting than the other side...

They are already here in Texas working on flipping this state blue. They have mainly settled in the big cities, but ones like Mike A's sister who have big money from their sale of property in California can buy a nice place with some acreage outside of the city with a short drive to civilization. They bring their horrible attitudes and political affiliations with them constantly saying this isn't how we did things in California. The ones that truly get me are the obvious Cali gang members who's heads have everything but their eyes tattooed. Rant off.......
But the whole post is really about banning ammo and I have always believed this would be their first step to outright control when it comes to firearms.

just based off migration patterns alone is enough to scare states. Georgia’s wake up call was when Stacy Abrams almost won the governors election and when I mean almost won, she was fractions of a percent away. It almost went to a special election bc Kemp “didn’t have enough votes” to comfortably say he won.

Also, Virginia. Enough said there.

In the CA November 2016 election, Proposition 63 (a package of about a half dozen anti-gun laws) was passed by 8.663 million CA voters (63%). 5.070 million voted against it (37%). This was a 75% turnout. There are an estimated 2.5 million gun owners in CA. We can be pretty certain very few voted for Proposition 63, but let us assume NONE of them voted against it. What happens if ALL 2.5 million gun owners voted against Proposition 63 in that election? Would another 2.5 million votes against Proposition 63 kill it? NO. We would still lose by 6.6 percentage points. The math is what it is. No matter how organized, how reliably every California gun owner votes, it is not enough to overcome the anti-gun numbers in California. Living here, I can tell you, there is ZERO chance of changing the mind of an anti-gun person around these parts. It is like pushing a rope. All the effort in the world will not budge the other end.

It is these realities and repeated failed efforts to persuade lawmakers and even other voters to see our position, our irrefutable facts, negative impacts, etc, that lead me to conclude as many others have, that CA is a complete lost cause. I am more of the mindset now to move to another place and fight hard to preserve gun right that are there and may be under threat. Like what Virginians did on the assault weapon ban attempt. A pending assault weapons ban case up for review in March by Judge Benitez in CA is HUGE and will reverberate across the country. Even if this goes our way, California voters are by far, anti-gun and will remain that way, even increasing. They are very unlikely to change their mind and are only growing in numbers, especially as conservatives move out in droves.
