Our 100 yard range was closed for repairs for a really long time, however those are now complete. We will once again be holding our club match and keeping year long stats. Click on the link here for the Shooter of the Year standings. Any rifle legal to shoot at the club (300 Win mag or below) is legal in our match (no rail guns).

We will be shooting on the 4th Saturday of the month from March - October. Check in time is 7:30 and we start shooting as close to 9:00 as possible. This is a very relaxed atmosphere, however very competitive, so bring your A game. We are limited to 11 benches, so plan on doubling up each and every month. We may be looking at bringing in some concrete temp benches, but those talks are still under way.

Cost is $5 for members and $10 for guests. You do not need to be a member to shoot in our matches. If you would like to be on my texting distribution list for any reminders or last minute weather issues, send me a message, give me you cell number, and ask to be added to the VFS list.

Club is located at 11500 CR 525 Mansfield TX 76063

Have they confirmed the 200 match at Denton with yours yet.

We will be discussing it after the March 28th match. Everyone is invited to stick around after the match and discuss and give input, but here is the jist of it.

X number of 100 yard matches at ASC plus X number of 200 yrd matches at NTSA.
Combine the scores to get a grand agg winner.

We used to have a few guys that brought their factory rifles, but they haven't been out in a while. Most folks shoot a legal Short Range bench rifle, or their heavier "poker chip" rifles. You can bring rifle that is legal to shoot out there (300 win mag or smaller). Any rifle will be fun, but you have to set your expectations accordingly. A bench gun will shoot 250 - 12X to 20X. A GOOD factory rifle will shoot in the neighborhood of 235ish and 3-4 X's. a GREAT factory rifle may shoot 4-5 points higher.

All targets will be at 100 yards, and the target we use is the standard IBS score target. Here is a picture of the whole target, as well a pic of the sighter target with the scoring rings. We shoot this target of 5 record targets 5 different times for a total of 25 shots for record.

Damn that 10 ring is small!!
Reckon thats what makes it fun. Safe to assume outer scoring on each ring?
Sounds like a little over a half day of shooting if things run smooth?
