My Magnetospeed Mount

The muzzle brake kept damaging the strap on my Magnetospeed, I did some research and found a guy that used a friction arm that attached to picatinny rail on the gun, I don't have any guns with a rail so I came up with the idea of using the cradle from a bipod, Thanks to LoanHarvey for having a S series bipod cradle.
I used a coupling nut inside the pivot hole on the cradle with a washer and bolt on the back so the friction arm wouldn't pull the nut out. Then used a 1/2" round piece of aluminum rod drilled and tapped on one end for the friction arm and on the bayonet end I made a flat spot on the top and bottom, and drilled a hole to use the factory bolt and knob that is used to tighten down the strap. I made it so I can still use the strap if a gun has no swivel stud.
This was all done with hand tools, because I don't have a lathe or mill, I think it turned out pretty good.

Sure looks great from here. We'll definitely remember this approach if we ever encounter that situation with our Magnetospeed.

I use a carbon fiber arm mounted to a atlas rail from wiser precision but your mount does the exact same thing

Great idea. Have you used it? Curious how it holds up during use. Looks like it is very adjustable.

I have not used it yet, the guy I got the idea from has a video of him shooting, the bayonet has some vibration but never moves that it it needs readjusted. I plan on trying it out when it warms up.
