Have you worked with the Graf's LC brass . If so, wondering how they felt as far as initial neck tension from the plant ?I always run a mandrel in any new brass no matter what brand
the lc brass is made in lots, and often dated later.
you cannot expect the brass to be uniform year to year.
every test has shown that
Evidence ? I keep seeing these claims, never any proof.the lc brass is made in lots, and often dated later. you cannot expect the brass to be uniform year to year. every test has shown that
Interesting,
Can you provide link/s to these tests ?
Thank You,
George
How many tested ? What were you expecting from it ? I can get groups from my .223s that are quite small,Lapua or LC . Groups are small enough that there is no way to discern the difference between the two.I find that LC brass is not consistent either in weight or neck thickness. It's fine for spray and pray shooters, but if you want accuracy from a good bolt gun, get something else or be prepared to do a lot of work, while prepping them. Even after all the additional work, you wind up with mediocre accuracy.
Granted, I have only used LC brass, I picked up at the range. Using it only for my AR rifles, for which it is more than adequate.
I bought 1500 223 brass of a member that were 1x and all the same head stamp # {LC-13} . I processed them, and have several sub 300 yd moa groups out of a 20" RRA AR. Just gained access to a 600 yd range. As weather permits will test both at Mag length and single shot loading length.I find that LC brass is not consistent either in weight or neck thickness.
