22-250 and STABall 6.5

Yes. Loaded 41.5gr with 55gr Hornady Vmax. Good accuracy...great velocity. Will continue to experiment.

I tried it in a 22-250ai with 75s.

Very good accuracy but I didn’t get the speed I do the R17. I peaked out in pressure and was actually significantly slower.

Accuracy was as good or maybe even better but the speed just wasn’t what I wanted.

Thread from the dead, any updates? Curious as I just found 3 pounds of this powder for my 22-250.

IT should "work" FINE with, 55 to 75 grain bullets, as I shoot a lot of it with, the Heavier Bullets, in a 6 XC
StaBall 65 is slightly slower burning than, the 4350's
Doubt, if it would work "well" with anything less than, a 55 grain bullet, tho !
I use IMR 4350 @ 38.5 grains with, an old Nosler 60 grain, Solid Base bullet and they shoot, great !
My BEST 50 and 55 grain loads are with, the FASTER burning powders like, IMR 4895, H-4895 and H-380
HOGDON Reloading, HAS .22-250 Rem, loading Data for bullets of, 55 to 70 grains !
Might give, wbm's load, noted above,.. a "try", too ! Good Luck !
If you ever need any 6 XC loads,.. I got them !

I’ve been interested in trying the Staball 6.5 in my 22-250 and Swift after seeing the surprisingly high velocity that they show with 55s in their 22-250 data.
