38 cal 148 BNWC-NLG Hi-Tek Coated Acme Load information

Just bought 2,500 Acme bullets 38cal 148g BNWC Hi-Tek coated first time using them, was looking for reconditions on suggested starting target loads. I have used Trail Boss with the Falcon 148g at 2.0g, and Bullseye at 3.0g figured it would be the same. Also took delivery of N320, N330 figured I would try a new powder. Still wanted to check as I'm still in the learning process. Thanks.

My recommendation is to not use N310 for 38 WC. You can go from normal to+P in as little as .1 grain. Too touchy. For a long while Vhitavouri did not publish any data for N310 and 148 WC.

There is plenty of good data for Clays, WST, Red Dot, Titegroup, N320, 700X, Green Dot, Accurate No 2, as well as Bullseye. My own experiments indicate that 700X and Bullseye give consistent velocities. But I haven’t shot all of these powders.

I loaded tons of Xmetal 9mm 147 RN Hi-Tek. I don't shoot them much anymore cause I got tired of the smoke when shooting indoors. I still use them here and there when shoot pistols outside.

I reload that bullet and love the coated Acme. Reduces leading by a lot. Also use the 185 gr .45. I use 231 and Clays because that is what I have.

Thanks, I will load like the others, I have the Win231 and Bullseye with Trail Boss. I just bought 3000 9mm ones and with try them out. Just figured it was something different to use and it might help the Lead... Thanks All.

How about the Precision Delta 124g JHP 9mm? How do they work in a Glock?

For 9mmPara, Titegroup is hard to beat.
I prefer copper Plated bullets. Berry's 147 gr RN bullets are one of my favourites, 3.4-3.5 gr Titegroup or 3.5 gr N-320 is what I load 90% of the time.

4 grains of titegroup behind a 115 grain bullet is excellent.
I seem to find the cost of the RMR bullets that are jacketed are the same price or cheaper than berries or lead.
