I wonder how the 85 hpbt Sierra compares to the 87 vmax for splody
Hornady - little more splody
I like to refer to that particular aspect as a bullets "Technicolor Potential".
And yes, 87 Vmax has a higher "Technicolor Potential" than the Sierra 85 HPBT. Although both shoot extremely well.
What is your load using the 87 gr. V max? It doesn't get any better than shooting PD's!
Nice work birdog. Is it possible for you to point me in a good direction to prarie dog shoot? I live in KY, and would like to plan a trip out west to do some shooting. Ive read forums and done some research but there are so many post about good prarie towns and not so good towns. Id rather not pay an outfitter or guide but am willing to tip the local rancher for accomidating us with a good shoot. We are thinking of a weeks vacation just to shoot. Help a lady out, please?
Thanks,I'll give that load a shot.34 gr V-135
Voldoc had a killer day.
Day got off to a good start when he got 7 dogs with his first six shots.

Great to hear from youIm glad to see you and Voldoc still tearing it up Randy. I been out of it for a couple years but I’m starting to get back in it again and hope I can follow your lead.

This is just me talking to myself. After being out there and actually using the 87 Vmax I'm hooked on that bullet. The other stuff did good but the 87vmax just did it better.I wonder how the 85 hpbt Sierra compares to the 87 vmax for splody
