Help with K&m neck turning tool...

Hey fellas, i just got my k&m neck turning tool today in the mail. Well i got everything setup and it worked great. My question is kinda not sure if i turned them back into the shoulder to far or not. I tried to just kiss it. What you guys think??? Here are 3 pics, two showing the same case on opposite sides and a factory case just for reference...

Really i thought i was going to much, i use to neck turn along time ago but i couldnt remember how to do them.

I use to turn necks on a rcbs trimmer with lathe attachment, seemed to tighten my groups then. These are for a savage 11 300wsm.

Looks good. Remember it indexes off the end of the neck so the cases have to be cut to length first.

If I'm not mistaken, the standard neck turner kit from K&M comes with a 50 degree cutter. I know when I started turning Ackley necks a couple of years back that angle was less than desirable on a 40 degree shoulder. I believe it's been in the last year they began to offer cutters tailored for specific shoulder angles. Roger at K&M indicated their design was to use a cutter that was 3 degrees more than the case shoulder angle. I recently ordered an additional neck turner body along with 33 & 43 degree cutters to used with Creedmoor/x47 Lapua and AI cases.

Hard to tell, but I like my cutter to kiss the shoulder. Helps with the donut problem.

Depends how your setup and how you go at it. Myself go by feel & sight for stop, not having to worry about the lengths.

Here are the ones they have listed. Mine came with a 50° but I replaced it with the 23°.

Ok its nice to be able to get input from other reloaders, my rcbs never really did a very good job but the k&m tool is awsome... hopefully i can get to the range this weekend and see if it made any difference.
