Berger 6.5mmm 144 Hybrid?

We were told they have them ready but are just waiting on the labels for the boxes! :(
We'll keep you posted on here.
109 6MMs were supposed to be here by now also!
We'll keep you all apprised on them also!

THEY HAVE ARRIVED! We just received all the 144s we ordered and some of the 109s! We will ship them Monday! We'll go by ordering dates on the 109s.

Please be sure to post too how they perform. It'll be some time (months sometimes a year plus) before new Berger models reach our eastern side of the Atlantic. While this can be quite frustrating for us Brits, it does have the upside that in the very unlikely event of Berger introducing a real turkey, we can see this from the reviews and avoid wasting time and money. (There are some bullets from some companies where this delay and the availability of real shooting results posted on AS Forums have made precision shooters who were initially keen to get their wallets out have second or even third thoughts) So, I'm watching the 0.224 85.5gn LRHT results closely and will do so for the 144gn 0.264 when feedback starts to appear.)

I expect this one to be a winner as the older 'Long-Range' 264 Target (the 140gn Long-Range BT Target) is a great bullet in the mid-size 6.5mm cartridges. This bullet's performance seems to be a well kept secret, but several forum members hold this opinion and it has performed superbly for me. I do notice though that Bryan Litz / Berger have increased the 144's bearing surface length considerably over that of the old 140gn LRBT, so with that and the extra 4gn weight, it's unlikely to let itself be driven as fast before pressure problems appear.

I just ordered a box of 500 6.5mm 144gr from Steve. Looking forward to see how they perform. Very easy guy to order from.

Definitely a consideration. Gun is for 1000 yard prone NRA matches. The 6.5 L would work fine for that I’m sure
I don't compete, but I do shoot a lot at 1000 yrds, and my 6.5x47 does very well, I will say it did better with my old Pac Nor barrel than my Brux. But 1000 is no problem.

Just got the 300 I ordered. The box says recominded twist is 1:8. With that longer bearing surface I hope the increased BC will make up for the lower MV I get from my 6.5 CM. Time will tell.

Just got a box to try. To be clear, the box says a minimum 8 twist. I'll be testing them in a 7.5 twist in a 6.5 GWI. I'll report back with my results.
