Too bad the 'Warped sense of humor" post had to be locked out. It was actually my favorite to read. How ever I fully understand the administrator's frustration. People, as a whole, just ruin things for themselves.

I'm really pissed off. That without question was one of the best threads we've had in years. And, it only took a couple of morons to ruin it. I looked forward every evening to see what additional posts were added and now it's gone. Thanks eas1949.

There are far too many people with absolutely no filter on either their mouths or minds. We see this constantly in various posts where someone abuses freedom of speech or a poster asks an innocent question and is then bombarded with replies that have absolutely nothing to do with the question, but rather launch a deluge of bias against the OP's choice of equipment, skill level, way of doing things or any other idiocy that allows the one replying with an opportunity to expound on "I've been doing this for XX number of years and...", as if that makes one the ultimate expert. I've been shooting, hunting, reloading and amateur gunsmithing for over 50 years, still consider myself an amateur and learn something new every day; especially on this forum.

The lack of common sense, decency and what comes out of some peoples mouth and mind has really gone to the dogs in the last few years. Sad that some can not see humor and lean towards vulgarity.

I’m one who didn’t like the profanity and crude talk. Now, if you take offense or umbrage that it’s gone take it out on the few or one that caused the lockdown. How many times did the whole class stay after school because of the actions of one jerk?
Oh, and while we’re at it, how many shooting related posts were the offenders actually active in?

I've observed this kind of thing since the early days of the AOL Chat Rooms back in the '80s when I began to participate in them. The one outstanding thing that's changed since then is not just that there's more of it (social media sites) these days, but much of it has gotten a lot meaner and with less compassion. Any wonder how social media has fueled the division we now have in this country?

Eventually ALL "non-shooting" threads be they political, judicial or even, as in this case "humor" all get locked out or deleted. No matter how you look at it, literally everything has some political connotation to it. The ONLY way to avoid these sort of things is for the FORUM BOSS to not allow any threads, except maybe "prayers / prayers for the family" type threads. All "non-shooting" threads, no matter how innocuous they appear, if allowed to "grow" will, at some point, cross the threshold and be "squashed" for the benefit of the forum. My suggestion to The Forum Boss is to implement some position along these lines and strictly enforce it, or we will end up back here again in the not too distant future.

If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. I am not a member of Facebook or Twitter or any of those other hateful social media trash cans. Like is just too short to be that hateful. I can't say I'm like Nancy Pelosi, who, as a good Catholic hates no one. There are a few I dislike a great deal.

I respect and totally back the BOSS on his actions. I enjoyed the WARP thread,but he can`t let it get out of hand. It was slowly turning into stuff you would see on other no holds barred sites. Total lack of respect for the requests by the BOSS were met with the action I would have used.Think about this,what would we have if we woke up one morning and went here only to find a notice reading"Nothing to see here site is inactive"? That`s happened to me on two different sites just because of this BS. The Boss could reach his limit of willingness to babysit a few and reach down and pull the plug.I don`t want to see that happen. Let`s all take this as a warning to keep it clean and move forward. And Thank You Boss for giving us another chance.

As some one who has had a thread deleted in the past, I respect and am thankful the forum boss's right to make decisions, for the good of the site. The ability to monitor/police this site is way beyond my abilities. Boss you are doing a fine job, even if I don't always agree with your decisions. Again thankyou.

Boss, who I assume is running this site as an income producing venture, is concerned that those who post political and personal bias will eventually chase off many of his subscribers, thereby making the site unprofitable to run. He has posted many times about the man hours he spends moderating this site (>3000 last year) which equates to working 12 hours a day, 5 days a week.

Some however, cannot seem to resist the temptation to inject political bias into threads and for many, including me, this is just disgusting to read, over and over. While I like to learn and benefit from you'z guys on shooting related topics, what your political leanings are, like your sex life is not something I'm interested in reading about. TMI

Others can't seem to resist insulting others with each post, and they too chase off subscribers.

If we all want this site to continue to be available, we need to do some self policing and not only resist the temptation to post offensive material, but call out others who do, and that's what I'm doing here, Riesel.

Please edit your post to remove the political bias you made. It is immaterial to the subject being discussed and offensive in nature.
