Briar pant/bibs

I'm after a some waterproof insulated briar pants or bibs. I need to climb through some nasty stuff. I remember vintage woolrich being quality stuff. I want something tough warm and waterproof. Anything thing like that exist today? What do you like?

The best briar wear I have found are Filson double tin chaps. They are waxed and water proof and wind resistant and will probably ward off snake bites 9&1/2 times out of 10. Every horseback bird dog field trialer I know swears by them. You can dress up or down under them.

Looking into Duluth and 'll bean too.

I have some canvas Dickies that have held up well, though not insulated. Finding anything that fit 33w 35l is a pain. Gotta try everything on and hope something is mis marked, unless I can find something unhemmed.

Ive tried LL and Duluth. I had some success with LL about 12 years ago. Finally I bit the bullet so to speak and bought Filson. You have to wear something under them, but there simply isn't a better product that I have found. The Tin ones, that is...

Nite Lite makes a fine pair of bibs.

I still have a pair of Carhart overalls for rabbit hunting that are over 20 years old. They are not per say waterproof but I will spray them with scotch guard before I use them. I imagine that you want it for the dew/moisture on the briars. Simple wear a pair of nylon/waterproof pants underneath.

Car here bibs are pretty darn snag proof. I've had the same pair for 20 years, everything from cutting wood, hunting and turning wrenches

Still have my Woolrich jacket and pants never got cold even wet when they were wet they were very heavy, Christmas present 40 plus years ago from my wife.

I rabbit hunt so much it’s hard to keep bibs for more then a couple years. They all get thrashed to hell after miles of briars. Wicks was the best. Stone creek brought back the material and it’s very nice. Can’t go wrong with Dan’s either.

These all look great. Decisions, decisions.

I have a few coats and bibs from Carhartt, while I consider decent and on par with Dickies, I'm looking for something even better and waterproof. I'm sure one of the above will fit my bill. USA made makes even better! These all look like "buy it for life".

I’ve had a pair of either carhartt or browning(not home to check) bibs with nylon waterproof material around the legs and shell Loops on the chest these have held up for 25 yrs of bird and rabbit hunting terrain
