Shout out to Hornady

Hello All,
I just want to give a shout out to Hornady and say Thank you.

My LnL AP kit powder measure drum o-ring fell apart recently (dry climate?). A message to Hornady requesting PN so I could order resulted in two replacements at my door right away, no cost.

Agreed. Been having issues with a lot of 147 ELD-M (2K Bullet Lot). Called Hornady and they sent me 100ct box, diff lot to try, with a promise to report back. I used their "contact us" to report back. No updates yets..

No but i consistently get flyers on 4th 5th shot, and finally ended up with a keyhole @ 100yards. I think that the bullet itself couldn't handle the heat...possibly too thin of jacket? not bonded with the lead? I DON'T KNOW.

the other issue is, if i'm shooting a 10 shot string, split into 5 shot groups. the 2nd string will always group larger and flyers. Was able to get a new lot and tried it out and confirmed this. the new lot, 2nd string was nice and tight.

I have not tried other brands. i bought the 2K lot. Also many reported issues with the 147ELD-M.

The 147 ELD-M Hornady sent me is more consistent. Hoping they'll replace what i have left.

I will conduct more tests to confirm.

Ant luck?!? I'm always curious how companies handle their lot-lot variation. Mechanical? Hornady is top notch and supports their products.

the lot i had just got shipped back to Hornady. they said they'll replace...not sure if they're giving me a whole box of 2K bullets or most likely or replace what i had leftover.
