6x47 Lapua loads for Barnes Match Burner 112

I have a box now and they look pretty good. Currently I am shooting 115 DTACs with 39.2 H4350 in Lapua brass for a velocity of 2950. I would like to try these out so has anybody worked up a load with these bullets in 6X47L? I have H4350, H4831SC, H4895 and Varget for starters.

What twist is required for the Barnes 112’s? I’d like to try them too

Barnes says 1:8 or faster. I am running 1:7 on my gun. These bullets are longer than the DTACs. 2 weeks ago I finally got to shoot a 1000 yard match with my 6x47L and DTACs. I was very happy. Hadn’t shot a 1000 in the last year and the 115’s shot better score than the berger 140 hybrids in my 260. The ballistic program said the 115’s had less wind drift and sure enough it seemed that way.

I am going to break in my back up barrel this winter so i will do s load work up on the 112’s as a backup.

David, please keep us posted with your results of the 112’s. I’m gonna order some and test them for my next 1K shoot in the spring. I’m using RL-16, my gun doesn’t seem to like H4350 pushing the Hornady M 105’s

With 39.2 gn h4350 i am getting 2950. It was the lower accuracy node and since i am shooting fixed distance it is completely adequate.

I will keep this thread up to date once i start getting some data. I need to find some R16. People keep talking about how good it is.

David, I’ve bought RL-16 from BassPro/Cabelas just a month ago for under $30 per pound.

My bass pro and Cabela’s didn’t have any R16. We have a gunshow in 2 weeks so i am planning on going to get some powder and primers. R16 is on the list

I agree with you on both comments. H4350 is not broken for me and i have enough to finish off the current barrel and my next barrel. But I shouldn’t be close minded about other options.

I would think RL 16 is a little bulkier than H4350, but you have the room go for it.... jim
