It's that time of year. Let's see those kills.

This young man, a grandson of a very good friend, harvested this buck on youth day. Yielded 90 lbs of boned out meat minus back straps and tenderloin. Enormous deer for the NW Piedmont of NC. Gotta remember, in 30 minutes one can be on rolling farmland or at 2800 ft in the Appalachians. Great deer for this youngan'

Boy, that’s a shiny fat buck deer. Hasn’t got a flaw on him!

So far:
Thursday (Oct 3) WY - 2 doe antelope
Friday (Oct 4) WY - 1 buck antelope
Saturday (Oct 5) CO - 1 doe antelope
All four shot with Berger VLD-H bullets, 2 from 25-06, 2 from 6 CM. Only took a pic of the first doe.
Back in WY yesterday for deer season with 2 whitetail doe/fawn tags. Season opened at 6:45 AM (legal shooting time), and by 7:45 season was finished for me. These were both shot with Berger VLD-H bullets and these are the exit wounds.

This guy is not huge by any stretch of the imagination- nor do I have any good field pictures. It was a solo hunt. Took him with my 6mm AI, 90 gr sierra TGK at 3500 fps. Ranged him at 296 yards. He didn't take one step and it was a good fast kill. Taken is southern Saskatchewan. The season for Antelope only reopened a couple years ago after being closed due to animal loss from bad winters. This is my first Ever Antelope.

On a side note, I just got the Euro mount back today, Don Wolk did a great job and had it back to me in no time.

WOWZA! Pending P & Y or better yet B & C?

I think better than that, “world class” is the term used. It’s very rare to see a typical this uniform and have 8 each side.

Edit: Just googled it, 209 4/8 green so easily the state record that’s in the 190’s
The hunter was 18 yrs old! There’s still hope for us regular guys!!
