Case lube spray

I have a ceiling fan box cut open on the long side. I put tray of cases in it and spray with one shot, turn spray again. Spray doesn't get everywhere.
I don't wait for dry ...works great.( I qtip out die regularly) paper towel of cases before cleaning pockets.

There is a red can and a black can of One Shot. I like the "Clean & lube" better for sizing and the "Lube" for cleaning necks ...weird huh !
The confusion of the two types caused me to have both.
Even now I can't remember the color of the spray can I like .... (crs)

I have used several cases(40-50 cans) of Hornady One Shot with no issues. I have also made the home brew version and it works too.
Holy shit Batman! 40-50 cans! That's why I don't follow Hornady's instructions. As with all companies they want to sell their products. Spraying One Shot their way wastes a lot of product, that's why I do it my way. I'm lucky if I use a can and a half a year.

One Shot = multiple stuck cases.

Worst product Hornady ever made.

(Not to metion 50+% of it gets wasted as you spray it into the air and coat your loading block.)

I use Hornady One Shot to FL size. After you spray the brass in the loading block you need to let it set for a few minutes before trying to size. If you try to size as soon as you spray them you can stick a case in the die. Ask me how I know this.......lol.......I spray them from a couple different angles then let em sit for about 3-5 minutes then size them all with ease.

I've tried just about everything mentioned here so far and a couple of years ago tried the Alcohol (99%)/liquid Lanolin 10:1 mix. Stand cases up on a cardboard/plastic tray or box and spray at a 30 degree downward angle from opposite sides. I then roll them around in a plastic bag for a minute and dump them back on the tray. My friend just rolls them around on the tray. 15 minutes later they are ready to size. Or, leave them in a plastic bag or box and size them later. I've waited up to a couple of weeks.

They move through the die and mandrel like butter. I've also noticed a bit more consistent sizing and my friend who bought the initial ingredients says the same. The 2 ingredients and 4 industrial grade spray bottles were, IIRC about $30. We both made the switch and after 2 years, still have a bottle and a half each remaining. We've both pretty much decided this stuff cannot be beat and have converted quite a few of our fellow shooters that agree. JMHO.

I like RCBS case lube too. I lay out a plastic garbage bag flat on a table, spray the bag with lube then dump the brass out and roll the brass one complete turn with my hand. Then pick them up and rub a little on the shoulder and neck as I set then down on my bench ready to size. I tried One Shot and it worked okay on 30-06 brass but not so much on my 6.5 creedmoor brass. It my be a little messy but I'm a fan of the RCBS spray lube for all sizing jobs.

I have used One Shot since it came out. I shoot 3-4 k rounds a year and have NEVER stuck a case with it. I shoot 222 rem to 338 edge including AI calibers and spray everyone with One Shot. Easy clean up, fast to lube the cases and on to the next step. I have used imperial and also the pad and lube will never go back. Too slow and tedious.

Lee Lube is the same thing that factories use to draw brass. It works really well, no stuck cases. Instead of putting it on each case with your fingers, you can put a dollop in a baggie, dump some brass in, shake/agitate it well and then start sizing. You will initially use too much lube but will learn quickly how little it takes. I don't know of anything faster, cheaper or more convenient.

FYI...1 shot is a lanolin based aerosol. I've used both...home brew and 1 shot. They both need to dry before sizing. I can add an additional data point to 'Down South's' experience with attempting to size cases before the solvent evaporates. Pilot induced error indeed ;).

I do it like response #10-I lay 5 to 10 cartridges on the felt pad and give them a quick line of One Shot down the middle. I then take the edge of my hand and give them a good roll back and forth. I give them each a dry neck dip in graphite before they go in the sizer. I hope the One Shot isn't too poisonous.

I also used the case pad and RCBS lube for years. A friend gave me a can of the Hornady spay and told me to just try it, loved it and threw away my lube pad and bought a few cans of the One-shot and will stick with that from now on. Super easy and the best part is it gets inside the necks which was always a PITA.

If you get stuck cases with Hornady One Shot then you aren't using it per directions. As mentioned shake it well and after spraying let it sit one minute to allow the propellant to disapate.

I have used it for tens of thousands of pieces of brass in many calibers and never a stuck case. I use the zip lock bag method. Layer in bag, spray, roll, spray and dump into a cardboard box. Repeat. Can do hundreds of rounds quickly.

I like the Lanolin solution. After you roll them in the bag let sit for 10-15 min. Works very good and solution last a long time. Easy to clean off also.

How are you guys cleaning lanolin after sizing? I found it very sticky, brass had to be washed after. I use Hornady paste, it’s similar to lee paste, works good, cleans up easy.
