Witt Machine brake?

Happy Sunday Gang,, Any thoughts on a Witt Machine Clampon brake for a .308? I would like to install one on a Varmint profile Rem. 700. Like to hear from anyone using one. Thanks in advance, Jeff
 
I recently put a Witt brake on my 300 ultra mag and even though only shot a few rounds since I put it on I will say it tamed that mule kickin bitch down. I bet on a 308 it would do well also.

Thanks Wingnut. What I have read about Witt`s,I think I will order one.The .308 is mighty rough on my neck lately.I`m sure the brake will be a bargain compared to the chiropractor bills. Happy shooting and thanks again. Jeff
 
I don't know what that is, but if you want a Canooter valve, and they sell a Canooter valve, buy it. Curiosity has me, I may have to go look.
 
I picked one up last summer during one of their sales. I have no complaints, I put it on a Rem 700 LSS in 300 RUM, tamed the recoil pretty well. Followed the instructions on measuring the barrel, has a nice snug fit and clamped down fine, no issues.
 
I have one on my Pac-Nor 6-284. Im shooting 55 grain bullets that when the rifle goes bang, I try not to giggle with the low amount of recoil Im getting. It was a factory Tikka 270 win that use to kicked like a 300 mag. It really helped. Should come in handy during coyote season. Whitt is simple and efficient.
