Need pressure schooling !

Ditch the nylon brush and use bronze with no patch.
Let me explain this , dusty means don't use the patches with the bronze brush ,you will need patches .you can use the nylon brush with kroil and jb to short stroke the throat but be careful . the mark show on the bullet is not from engaging the rifling ( jamming ) I would agree it's a carbon ring . good luck dave

I’m just trying to learn something here the mark on the bullet looks to be a continuous ring is that the difference if it was jamming in the land as you would just see spots where it hit the lands

I read where u shouldn’t reverse a bronze brush in the bore . How do I just do the throat without reversing direction ?

You use your jb or iosso on a patch to short stroke. Use the bronze brush in your normal cleaning regimen and itll keep this from happening so soon. Ditch the nylon brush alltogether. Ask a barrelmaker how abrasive nylon is. Or ask a fisherman if fishing line will eat up a propshaft thats way harder than a gun barrel.

I understand perfectly . I only use a nylon brush that’s covered with a patch . An old school friend of mine does it that way so I followed suit . From what I see some people clean with chemicals and some with elbow grease . I’ll stop tomorrow and get a 7mm bronze brush . Is Carbon blaster in a spray can good enough to use ?

yep scrub away back and forth .. you wont hurt the barrel, then let chemicals sit in the barrel and do its work before patching out.. sweets about 10-15mins max ..boretech eliminator i let sit for 15-30mins before i patch out .. and yep 6mm ..you will only get a few cleaning out of a bronze brush then you will feel it easier to scrub barrel so throw it out

Clean out the chamber with #9 or kroil .. Patch dry
Bore tec will cause stickiness if not cleaned out well.

My wife was a having a difficult time opening bolt . You could feel fired case causing pressure again the bolt . So me being a genius I increased headspace from .001 to .004 thinking the extra room would help . It didn’t . Even a powder puff load of 28.1 made brass .004 longer and give a small sticky opening . Im enclosing 2 pics . One of fired cases and one of a mark all the way around bullet just from chambering . Any opinions greatly appreciated . Thx

Mark
If all your seated bullets leave a ring all the way around like the one in the picture, your throat may have too small of a diameter for that bullet. You are not even reaching the lands.
