Sierra makes a 183gr bullet for 7mm and say it needs 8"twist or faster . Berger with their 195gr bullet says 9"twist or faster. My 7mm WSM has a 9"twist,can my wsm handle those long bergers
missiles ?

Listen to Joe! He has extensive experience with the 195s! He knows what he is speaking of!I used to shoot the Berger 195 EOL in an 8 twist and they shot extremely well. It was 10s Xs or 0s. Unfortunately, beyond 600 yards they started exploding on me. I was pushing them at 2980. I'm pretty sure a 9 twist won't work.
I'm sure you know that the Berger 180s and 184s will hammer in a 9 twist.
I never got the Sierra 197s to work for me either.
Joe
You'd need to be in pretty high elevation to get a 9 twist to stabilize the 197 at 3000 fps. It's possible it could shoot in a 9 twist at the right altitude.Sierra makes a 183gr bullet for 7mm and say it needs 8"twist or faster . Berger with their 195gr bullet says 9"twist or faster.
