Dead Zero Range

when these guys finish up the small stuff here and there, this is going to be a great range for F Class and LR BR.

I’ll be so happy to NEVER have to go to Tullahoma again to shoot.

It has a few small issues, but overall it looks like it is going to be a top notch range.

Not really. Biggs is killing us as usually.
This place with completely covered firing line and prep area and electronic targets make it a very enjoyable place to shoot.
Parking is not the best, but you can drive up and unload at the line.

The pits at tullahoma are the pits for a broken man like me.
Summer shooting in the south is bad enough with the heat and humidity, but the match directors at tullahoma do a good job getting pop ups up etc.
The east facing range, the target carriers and no berm make the pits make me not want to shoot.

This is in no way a reflection on the guys that run the TN matches, this is just my opinion on the one range and in my opinion how nice Dead Zero is going to be.

Randy is correct. We now have 10 e-targets for use at the matches. Unfortunately, until the NRA publishes the approved target for registered matches. I will not run a registered match on e targets, not going to have someone shoot a national record and then not see it recognized. I will have e targets at those matches for those who can't pull the pit targets. With the understanding they will not be eligible for the agg.

So if I understand you correctly, when you run an "Approved" match at AEDC, we can shoot on electronic targets and have our scores turned in to the NRA for classification purposes, but we will NOT be eligible for aggregate winner awards? Is that a correct understanding?

National Records can only be set at “Registered” matches.

Typically only the Regional and State Championship matches in TN are Registered matches. “Approved” matches do indeed count towards your NRA classification, however.

Setting up a Registered match costs a bit more and there are more hoops to jump through, so it is only done for the “bigger” matches.

All of the above is totally unrelated to aggregate winner awards.

It's OK, Troy. We sling shooters tend to get annoyed when a Long Range match is referred to as an "F-Class" match. It makes us feel invisible and unimportant. :(

I did hear a new term to describe the F class scum this weekend,

We are “Mother F’ers”

I need a tee shirt now, lol

I seem to remember when you were a f classer don’t I ( before your transformation of course). My memory isn’t so good anymore! Seriously though I respect you guys shooting sling, not sure I could do it.
