McMillan A6 or Manners T4?

Has anyone tried both of these? Specifically; I want to know about the distance from the grip to the trigger. Are they comparable? Does one place the hand nearer or farther from the trigger? I have handled a Manners T4, and found the reach to the trigger comfortable, I'm wondering how the A6 feels in comparison, as I prefer the features of the A6.

I’ve never tried a A6 but the T4 is one of my favorite stocks.. I don’t think you could go wrong with the Manners T4a.

Sold my T4’s off in favor of the A6 PRS. Have two now and have two more coming...

Unfortunately I no longer have any T4’s to verify the distance but from what I can remember the grip difference was negligible.

Forgot to mention that if you do have smaller hands then skip the A6 all together and get the A10

Laying a yard stick parallel with the stock. My A6 measured 1 13/16” from grip to where middle of finger touches B&A trigger. Probably useless info!

That's the type of info I was looking for, thanks! I'm guessing you measured from the front of the grip to the face of the trigger?

If the grip difference was negligible, I think I should find the A6 to be just as comfortable. I do have smaller hands, but I didnt like the design of the A10.

Kelblys is building my rifle and I asked them if they could set the action back 1/2", now I'm wondering if it's necessary. I know some people are using A5s at local matches, I'll ask them if I can check out their rifles, McMillan says they have similar grips to the A6.

Yes. It’s a PRS model also, runs well off of protektor bag on bench.

The A5 and T4 are about the same measurement. I have a trigger shoe on the T4 set up but looks real close to the 1 13/16.

Thank you sir, good to know. I wish I could try one out. I'm thinking of placing a WTB ad.
Personally I prefer the McMillan stocks. Fit and feel too me are better than manners. I'm sure you'll get other opposite opinions. I'm not saying manners stocks aren't top shelf, they are. I just prefer for how they feel in my hands and in my conditions, the McMillan's in the A4/5 configuration.

You can find either right here for maybe alot less than new. I picked up a new never used A5 adjustable LA inletted for a Stiller TAC338 action for 400.00. Green camo marble. New from the factory would have been around 800.00+. Keep looking.

I've thought about trying a similar stock like the A4, ot A5. Which has the closest ergos to the A6?

Have you looked at the Manners PRS stocks? They are nice and have a slimmer more squared off forend like the A6.

Also have you thought about the Manners Mini Chassis if you need a DBM? They work great and are drop in with a 700 footprint action. I have 5 Manners stocks with them and they work great.
