Looking for Barrel Tenon Thread Info TC Compass

I want to send it out with a new barrel to my gunsmith to re-barrel. I want to select the right diameter barrel for the job. I would like to use up some of my smaller diameter barrels. I have some barrels in the 1 to 1.1 inch diameter range on the big end and a lot that are 1.2 or larger in diameter. I have looked online and keep coming up short! I tried emailing TC and other than the automated auto reply letting you know they received your email have I have not heard back from them.

Thanks for all the help!

You dont even have to take it apart or have special tools to measure that. Probably dont even have to remove it from the stock

How do you figure? The tenon is in the receiver. Even the outer profile which is not the tenon is surrounded by enough stock that I would have to take it out of the stock to measure the portion right up against the receiver face. So I can see how that could be done but how do I measure the portion that is threaded and in the receiver with out taking the barrel out of the action? Thanks Dusty Stevens!

I think I know what you mean. Assuming I can get my dial caliper onto the widest point and that is the full diameter and not a tad short of that point the tenon would be smaller than that. That is true it does address my main concern. I also wanted to know the dimensions on the tenon and the threads as a secondary nice to know! Assuming the widest part is not below the stock line I measured it 3 times at 1.118". I will pull it from the stock and double check. I was focused on the tenon and the threads your solution is the obvious solution to the main prob. of selecting a barrel of the right size! Thanks! When I thought about what you said I slapped myself for not seeing the obvious!

You know the tenon is smaller than the barrel you measure. Past that once you send one big enuf to your gunsmith its up to him

Yes....The sad thing is this is not my first rodeo. I have not been sleeping well and and stressed out. I can not believe I had to ask that and be told the obvious! Thanks all the same!
