Fun 20 cal experiment

I went out yesterday and shot a few rounds .4" at 100Y with a ES of 8 fps for 5 shots! I was plenty happy with that. This was with 32gr Blitz and it turns out the velocity was 65 fps lower with the new 4lb jug of A2400 I just opened.

Already have 6 different bullets in stock to try but I don't think I'll get serious with any of them right now, got them with the rifle and had Vmax already. I'll just shoot them up for fun since they are partial boxes. The Sierra's and Berger's are pricey, like $25 + per hundred so I'm not going to use them.

I'm leaning towards trying the Speer 39's because of the price, then ordering 2000 if they work well. Have you guys had decent luck with them??

Yes, same here. The 32vmax is what's in my normal load of 3735 fps.

Hoping the Speer HP shoots good because it'd be easy to identify which load I'm grabbing off the shelf and also cheaper. Otherwise I might just paint the ammo bins a different color so I don't make a mistake.

How about a 221FB, there are a ton of lead bullet options, and a slew of "bulk" jacketed bullets (i.e Hornady 55g btsp @ 2400fps). I have found shoot really well in most everything I've shot them through.

That would be fun for someone that has a 221FB. I'm happy with what I have though.

The lighter bullets like the 32's are fun because the recoil is so light!

Finished up the 32 Blitz, these have outshined the other bullets in my rifle.
Went through the 39 Blitz box, okay accuracy but I could feel the extra recoil which surprised me, I did however use the same charge as with the 32's.
Now into the 30gr Berger, nice light recoil and cleaned the course of smaller steel using holdovers and holdoffs! That impressed the friends watching.

This rifle and light loads are a neat and unique thing, I'm really enjoying it!
