Sierra .243 75gr Tipped Bullets...???

I was given a box of several hundred 75gr tipped bullets. The friend that gave them to me said he had got them along with a rifle he had bought from another friend several years ago. They appear to be Sierra bullets and they do weigh 75grns. I have searched the net for a listing for Sierra 243 75gr tipped bullets and cannot find anything other than the 70gr Blitzking or Tipped Matchking bullets, but not in 75gr. Does anyone know if Sierra did a run of these several years ago? I haven't shot them yet, but will...more curious about them than anything. When my friend told me they were Sierra 75gr tipped bullets, I questioned this as I had never heard of this weight in the green tipped Sierra before, but they certainly do appear to be Sierra's. The box is not labeled, so nothing to go on there. The first pic has a 75gr V-Max next to the other 2 bullets.

Maybe? These are the only 75gr tipped bullet that came with my limited googlefu!
Yes, I saw that...it could be that Sierra made them for the factory Remington ammo. The bullets I have are not "pulled" bullets, they are bulk boxed and it appears that the Factory ammo has a cannelure, which mine do not have. Besides the 75gr V-max, this is all that I have come across, but not seen any in bulk in any of my searches. Thanks for the reply.

Looks more like Nosler to me.
I searched Nosler and they do not offer a 75gr 6mm bullet and their 6mm bullets are not green tipped...in fact, the only 75gr, 6mm, plastic tip offering that I can currently find is from Hornady...and they don't use green for tip color. I will use my same loads for these as I do the Hornadys...just more curious than anything as to who's bullets they are and why they cannot be found anymore. It almost makes me think they were a special experimental run and for whatever reason, did not make the cut.

Looks like the Remington bullet to me. I don't think there is a cannelure, just a hard crimp. Those are probably some good varmint bullets. Let us know how they shoot.

Nosler varmegeddon bullets are green tipped. Maybe a special run? I have a box of Hornady 57 grain hpbt bullets that were left over from a run special ordered. Hornady couldn't say who that customer was and I can't get any more but odd things get made here and there if someone wants to buy enough.

Really? All I have seen in the Varmageddon is a Black tip in 20cal thru 6mm and I think all are FB(flat base) bullets as well...these are a Boattail.
I did find where Remington had factory ammo produced with the 75gr Hornady V-max...it actually said V-Max on the box and not Accu-tip. Could not find any images of one of the cartridges from these to see if maybe Hornady made them for Remington with a Green tip. Like you said, sometimes particular runs of bullets are made for someone or something...I suspect that was the case here as well. Thanks
