Unlimited Class Rifles - Minimum Weight?

Is there a practical minimum weight for unlimited BR rifles, i.e. rifles that incorporate their own rest in their design?
I'm thinking of building a barrel clamp rest from aluminum.

No minimum or maximum. Youll see lv rifles to full blown rail guns shooting ul class
I don't mean rules-wise. I mean would a rail gun be effective if it was made out of 2 lbs of foam? How light can these things go before you have to hold them and manually steer them? I want to stand to the side and pull a string and know that it is going to shoot center every time.

The choice I'm faced with is to build it out of 100lbs of steel or 40 lbs of AL.

Pick what you can carry. Obviously the lighter it is the less reliable itll be about returning to battery and being affected by outside forces

If you are talking rail guns, have you ever seen one? A very large percentage use a barrel block. You can use a smaller barrel, lighter top and guides but it still has to return to battery dead nuts every shot. D

No I haven't. I'm totally ignorant on the subject.
