WAITING FOR NEW F OPEN RIFLE AND FIRST OPEN BUILD

This is my first f open rifle I’m building from the ground up. I talked to Jim Borden and was having him build me my action, a BRLXD RBLP. Then it dawned on me that I should just have him spin on the barrel and polish the Jewell Trigger. The caliber is a 284 win. The barrel is a 33” Benchmark 1-9 Speedy taper. Next I spoke to Max at Mcmillan and he really help with the stock order. I ended up with a Kestros R 60% red 30% black 10% dark grey. The stock is Completely adjustable with cheek piece and length of pull. I thought I had it all together till Mcmillan called and said that they didn’t have a program for the BRLXD so I called Tom Meredith. Tom said no problem Mcmillan will just send the stock to direct to him. Tom is going to do all the pillars and bed the action. I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas for my rifle being built, I’m sure it will be worth the wait. Everyone was very helpful in and a pleasure to speak with. When I finally get I will post pictures of the rifle.

Just received the email I have been waiting for from McMillan. The stock shipped out yesterday. Talked to Tom Meredith and his wait time is only 2 weeks. Next email was to Jim Borden and the barreled action will be complete in a few weeks. I’m hoping I can receive the rifle before November. It’s been a long wait but still very excited. Will post pictures when I receive the rifle.
