6 PPC Brass

How many firings should I expect from 6 PPC Laupa brass? Action is Stole Panda with a 262 neck.

Brass I am currently using was purchased used with rifle and I suspect that it was used extensively by previous owner. I recently found a case with a split neck.

Easiest and best thing to do is get new Lapua brass Nick, especially since you have no idea how many firings are on it.

I am leaning that way. I would like to purchase the brass already processed. Any ideas where I should look for it. I know there are several places that will do the work.

Send your new Lapua 220 Russian brass to DJ's. He'll help you out.

I have used 6ppc brass that I received with the gun. If the brass looks to be in good shape and you anneal, it is fine to practice with.

If you do not anneal, it may still be ok. If the bullets are seating with different neck tension, you will not get the best out of the rifle.

Make sure to measure the brass both length and neck thickness. You never know if the brass was actually used in that gun or if the neck was trimmed properly.

Don’t rule out Norma 6ppc Brass. The primer pockets are not as tight but they easily last 8 to 10 reloads, maybe more. And, they are already formed.

+1 for DJ's. Expanded, neck turned and Hydro Formed, but you need to send him your new brass.

A lots depends on how close your sides are to your chamber and as a result, how much you are working the brass.

Any info on this stuff ?

the most I can find on Google is it came from nosler.

just buy new brass and plan on replacing it after 20 firings, if it lasts longer its just a bonus.

I came home from the range today and called both DJ's Brass and Bruno's. I was able to order the brass and have it shipped directly to DJ's. Boy does DJ have an accent. With my old ears, I could hardly understand him.

We had an agreement like prime and ruag- he supplies me with brass and i dont pay until i sell them. When we entered into this agreement he didnt know they were for my own use

Cracks in the neck are easily fixed with a tig welder !
