Red Hawk Rifles

Just a quick note on a very positive experience with said company.

I ordered an LA Remington bottom metal set from these guys along with a set of screws for a price less than I see most used (new style-not old) factory bottom metal. I thought, well that's good to know...

Then I proceeded to shop for a trigger for the same build (FYI, a reboot of an old 338-8 Rem Mag I sunk a ton of money into on a pre-64 style action...and now sinking 2 tons more!)...went to my usual sources...seems just a tad high...so I went to eBay...and the lowest price I could find, just so happened to be Red Hawk as well. So, I ordered said trigger...

Much to my surprise, I get an email with my order info for the bottom metal and notice my eBay purchase is on the same invoice...I thought hmmm... someone has got their shit together...

That was Sunday, today is Wednesday...I'm in Illinois and it was in my mailbox today...done, dusted and in great shape.

Now I know who will be on my shortlist for anything M 700 from now on.

I'm certainly not the first guy to shop here, but thought I'd put that out, as it was a very positive experience, having not had that good of service in a long time from anyone in recent memory.

Well done Red Hawk, to my new friends in my old stomping grounds of Western Colorado!

SF,

Kevin

I am confused about your post. How does LA Remington bottom metal go on a pre64 action? Is there something I have missed a pre64 action is a Winchester. I am into large 8mm and 338 rifles, that take me back to my elk hunting days. I saw a nice 6x6 killed in Col. With a cool 8mm Remington.

I am actually replacing the pre-64 style (Montana 1999 to he exact) with a TL Technologies Long Action (M700 footprint) with a longer Wyatt's box in it....measure once, cut twice:eek:

Yessir there were, at least, some pretty nice bulls up in those mountains... now filled with dope smokers it seems. I miss elk hunting and the meat...but I digress. R/ Kevin

They sure seem like a nice bunch of guys to deal with. I just bought a Model 7 HS Precision stock from them. Best price by a long shot!!! Four days after I get the stock I get an e-mail from ebay saying my "other" stock is being shipped, tracking number and all. A quick call to RHR and the guy confirmed in a few seconds that it was an ebay mistake and no second stock was being shipped.

They are usually my first and last stop for build components. Great prices and great service.

My last two e-bay buys came in amazon box's.
Hmmm....Amazon poaching? Recycling Amazon boxes (I do! Haha) Or wonder if those vendors sell in both eBay and Amazon? Interesting if there shipping model is getting traction into the non-Amazon UPS/FedEx market...lots of hmmmm:cool:

Well, the stock I got from RHR was $60.00 cheaper than from HS.....and that included shipping. I don't recall seeing amazon on the box, or anything else to do with amazon, but I could care less at that price if it was boxed up and shipped from the Kremlin!!!!!!

Edit: I just found the tracking number and my stock was shipped directly from RHR's location in Colorado. Not saying they don't drop ship amazon stuff, but mine happened to not be one of them.
