New guy from Tennessee

Getting back into shooting after several years away. I currently have my Sendero being re-barreled with a bartlein. I was lucky enough to find an identical Mark 4 from one of the members here and also found a nightforce steel base from another.

We started shooting when we were in Vegas. I sure do miss being 10 minutes away from Boulder City Rifle Range. They are supposed to be building a state of the are facility here in Crossville. Hopefully they will get it up and running soon.

The knowledge base here is incredible. Thanks for sharing!

You are closer than you know. Crossville has a great club. Let me know when you want a tour.

Do you have any information on the range on Crossville. Name ? Website ? thanks

I dont have much info on it yet they are still building it. I have reached out to a friend and he is getting the info on it for me. I will post it as soon as he sends it to me.

I'm a member of ORSA in Oak Ridge. If you are down this way or want to make a trip, I'll show you the facility. It is very nice and we have just about every flavor of shooting available, except .50BMG. Shoot me a PM if you're interested and we can coordinate a date/time.

I will take you up on this soon. I hear they have a great range.

I sent you a PM. The club has been active for 30 years or so.

You're not far from Dead Zero near Sparta on Hwy 111. I believe they have their 1k up and running. Never been there, but it looks good on the website. Lots of various rifle, pistol, and shotgun stations.

We called around a couple of weeks ago and we were told they were closed.

Dead zero is open 7 days a week with a very nice clubhouse. The sporting clays and pistol bays are fully functional, there is a big Idpa shoot there this coming weekend. The 1000 range is not finished due to the monsoon year we just had but dirt work is going on now and weather permitting it will be open soon. Check them out, gonna be a top shelf facility.

You are in the holy triangle of long range shooting in the US. You can get to a 1000 yard match within about 2 hours in any direction you care to travel.
