Agree I am not a pew pew fan but someone assembling accurate rounds for a precision AR based rifle and seeking advice should be welcome here. If he is just a Tacti-Tard, trolling and infusing his nonsense , then he needs to be on the pew pew airsoft Taci-Tard forum while his mom gets him another hot pocket. Refer to example below:

One thing I’ll add is if you’re shooting PPC or any other short range discipline, is to buy Tony Boyers book. It’s not quite the Bible of short benchrest, but it’s authoritative enough that you can consult that first to fully absorb the concepts and lingo and then have a semi informed conversation here. You don’t have to follow all of Boyers ways but his is usually a good starting point.

Also, set your context. If you’re a competitive 600y shooter with 10 years experience vs a new handloader who picked up a used 6 dasher, an identically worded question has different meaning. So for example, I’m a non competitive paper puncher who casually messes around with load development on a factory action. It’s important for a thread to have such a context.

My thoughts:

This is a public forum open to all but some commons sense restrictions are in force like non-shooting political discussions, bad language (report) - this stuff should get an immediate reaction from moderators. Members have the option of blocking other members to limit predation and disparagement. Having said this, my own guidelines are that I have the right to express my personal opinions (1st amendment) provided they are within the general structures of the forum - accurate shooting. Others have the right to disagree within the wide latitudes permitted. This is no place for folks having delicate feelings, if you said it, be prepared to back it up or concede. Witless and/or dangerous suggestions deserve to be called; exploitive stuff also. I try to limit threads to the discussion rather than to wander off or distraction. Get a good dictionary to be in harmony with the spelling and grammar police. This is a worthy forum where members can learn stuff whether it be about accurate shooting, accurate shooting as applied to varmints or game, and tuning up writing and communication skills. I file certain far out of line responses to my recycle bin located in the back of my head. Many worthy merchants have shooting related advertisements on the forum - there has been a constant flow of funds from the fyrewall treasury over decades to many of these merchants.

All right now, I have knowledge (Not conjugal) that it is indeed illegal to have intimate relations with animals in Alabama. My FIL was a lawyer and defended such a case. I can't speak for Arkansas.

On a more serious note: This is the place, treat it like the precious resource it is... The depth of knowledge is amazing.

Keep in mind that there may be more than one way to get things done, if it does not conform to your experience, it does not automatically make it wrong.

It's not a taboo but if you ask or answer a question regarding the "best" gizmo, without qualifying how you define "best", be prepared for a lot of variation in opinions. If you mean "best under $100", say it. There's always a better gizmo for the guy who has unlimited funds. If you need the "best that will do multiple calibers", say it. You be surprised by the number of gizmos that are specific to a given round. If you answer with some advice that seems to be different from the consensus, state why you feel that way. Always disagree respectfully. An old-fashioned way of calling someone an idiot is to refer to him/her as "my esteemed colleague". If you intend humor, use emoji.

This reminded me. Posting scantily clad women pics is bad and not allowed. Funny thing tho. A while ago I posted a pic of an old guy wearing a skirt and high heels and that was OK. Maybe I got a “free pass”?

Don’t think anyone mentioned yet but there’s a lot of buying and selling here no commissions, but expect some extra caution until you’ve got a little track record via the feedback feature. At first people wait until your check clears. Once you know them, sometimes things get downright friendly like money and items crossing paths on the way. Same rule applies that was mentioned about complaining about vendors. If you buy something and you’re not happy give the seller a chance to make it right instead of just giving bad feedback. At least 99% of our members are good folks.
