A great shooter!

I've had this rifle going on 5 years now and the more I shoot it the better I like it! 6.5x47Lapua built by Jon Beanland. I wish I had had this cartridge to shoot all the years I shot NRA High-power because I do believe it's the most accurate combination of rifle/cartridge I've ever held in 60 years of shooting at the longer ranges. With a Berger 130 gr. VLD and 38.5 grains Varget it's absolutely deadly back to 1200 yards! I haven't shot it back any farther....yet!

Shot these 10 rounds from 800 this afternoon.

My favorite load mirrors yours. 39.0 gr Varget with 130 gr VLD jammed And CCI 450. Has shot sub quarter MOA at 600 and 800 yards using night vision. 3010 FPS from an 8.5 twist Krieger. My freebore is for a 140 gr Hybrid though. What is your velocity and barrel length?

Remington M700 Action 1-8.5 ROT Krieger 25". I can't shoot 39 as it gives hard bolt lift...just a tat hot! This one is throated for the Berger 130. I can shoot the 140 but don't as I have to seat the bullet too deeply! Ain't got a clue about the velocity!

Good shooting!...Great cartridge, I have two 6.5 x 47's benchrest guns, one shoots 130 vld and the other 147 eldm. Shot a 10 inch group at 1400 yards last year with 147 with 6-8 crosswind. The little dude will shoot! I shoot 130's and 37.5 varget. I have had great success with this round 300-600 yd.

Excellent shooting. I also love my RBros 6.5x47. One of my favourite guns. Looks like lots of you guys are running Varget. Maybe I should try some instead of H4350. My gun shoots the 130 Berger hunting at 2950 fps out of a 26” Broughton.

Yep, The older I get, the more I admire those modest sensible cartridges..Good shooting buddy...mike in ct

Yes sir! I've shot most all of the big boomers I think and now at the sundown part of my life I am enjoying the smaller and highly accurate cartridges to the 'inth' degree. Most enjoyable to not have to have to tote a 'snot rag' after getting the teeth jarred!

Nothing wrong with H4350 whatsoever! It's a killer in a 22/250 I've got shooting a 90 gr. Sierra using 35.0 grains! Got a 1-7 Hart 28" barrel and it's BAD NEWS on coy dogs!!

IMPRESSIVE!

Very nice rifle, and looks good too!!! Best thing I can tell you, and this is from very hard learned personal experience is...Do not sell it!!!!! Whatever you do, do not sell it!!! You may not get another one that shoots that good anytime soon. Just remember, if you start thinking about selling it...that is the devil getting into your mind. He creeps in slow and before you know it he wins and you are wondering hopelessly, looking for a rifle that will shoot that good. The devil is a no good bastard!!!!
