Thank Everyone

Thanks, please share any advice any of you have. We're not in a hot bed of coaching. John has a nice gentleman named Ted Malone who works with John 1x a month prior to our standing match, but outside of that+ CMP camp John has me, & I don't know much outside of my copy of 'Ways of the Rifle". He has raw talent & desire. Last summer he got bored with targets so he shot out a candle, lit a match + popped a firecracker. We do silly things like putting playing cards out + he has to shot the eyes out of a card he wants, but I just have to hit a card with my gun to see who wins the hand. I told him if shooting becomes a chore instead of fun he needed to step back. He does his best when he is smiling and teasing me. Seriously if any of you want to teach him, or work with him I'll make it happen. Both of us driving we can get to most places. I know he hasn't had much coaching, but he is open to any help anywhere. Thank you guys so much.
Paula: Call the Army Marksmanship Unit and ask them if there are any alumni or coaches they can recommend from Fort Knox. You’re right by there so there may be somebody who can help out from time to time.

Paula, I purchased the jacket from Freeland about 45 years ago. At the time I was shooting NRA 3&4 position at the club level. About 3 months after it was purchased I was transferred to a location that didn't have a club for 200 miles so it was put in storage. I began shooting again about a year ago and age has increased my "bulk". It is in excellent condition and was top of the line at the time. It weighs almost 10 pounds. It is a made of high quality leather, with padded left shoulder and elbows, and was NRA sanctioned for Prone, Offhand, and Position shooting at that time. I believe it can still be used for these events. Someone on the forum may know if it is legal for use now.

Paula,
The best way to to thank everyone here is to just keep doing what you are doing. You and Paul have raised an exceptional young Man which isn't easy these days and it gives us Old Geezers hope for the future generations. I'm so sorry for your health issues and the accident you had. Your family is an inspiration to us all, that even with all of the hurdles you've never given up and raised such a fine young Man. My prayers are with You and your family.
