1st timer

I thought of that route, but my phone isn't very loud. I thought perhaps someone could recommend a cheap one that has a large display and a buzzer that was loud enough to hear with ear protection.

Audio from a timer is illegal per NRA rules. Go the walmart route, open the back and snip the speaker wire.I'm
 
I don'r see the value of an audio signal that tells me my 22 minutes has ended. I want to be able to visually monitor the time throughout my string.
 
I thought it may help with practice, but if audio is a no-no I guess I'll just pick a cheap one with a larger display and be done with it. Thanks.

electronic communications and audio devices in their possession forward of

the ready line are silenced and communication disabled.


If timers are considered audio devices, they have been given scant attention at any match I've attended. I've never heard them mentioned proactively, or in protest.

That said, I don't see the value of any audio signal as I shoot.
The purpose of a timer is to aid in time management....in essence - clock watching.
