I wish I new this a week ago as I ordered small pins , I had a half dozen large here the whole time.Chuck the decapping pin in the drill press and use a file to reduce its diameter to the size you want.
That's what I did and it works fine.

a lot of think alike, but some have faster fingers. That’s funny our post show the same time
Don't be too sure. I also ordered (from Lee) a new pin thinking that the one I had, according to the specs, was a reject.I wish I new this a week ago as I ordered small pins , I had a half dozen large here the whole time.
.058 is were I'm at on the small, I even ordered a new decaper from Redding and it came with only one pin? I must have missed something along the wayDon't be too sure. I also ordered (from Lee) a new pin thinking that the one I had, according to the specs, was a reject.
It was supposed to be a Ø0.062" pin, but in reality, it was Ø063" at the very tip, Ø0.069" about 1/8" up, and Ø0.075" at the top - all way too large since the pin has to go in the hole at least an 1/8", I would think.
Well, would you believe, the one I ordered was exactly the same!
So I filed the original to Ø0.058", and have been using it for every cartridge without any problem. I still have the new one as received.

In the past I've always unprimed my brass with a depriming tool after initial tumbling but before annealing. I have recently upgraded to lapua brass for a 6.5 creed that have the undersized flash hole. I can no longer deprime with my frankford arsenal deprimer as the pin is too large a diameter. Is their any harm with annealing with the primer left in? And then depriming during my sizing step with my die?
Thanks
