Kill Crows

I believe I have read in the regulations that inspite of the Wed___Sat day limits and the seasonal limits that they can be killed in the face of immediate depredation of crops or threat of injury to livestock or other animals.
The other side of the coin is that there are probably few who would choose to enforce most of the crow regs unless there has been a formal complaint.
The crow "seasons" as a migratory bird came about AS some rider on a bill with Mexico. Go figure.
Here they decimate my pecan tree/crop. Theyre rather clever and hard to kill efficiently. Ive got to come up with a pecan tree based claymore.

rog, what I have read is that one is killed they leave and don't come back.. Heh Heh Heh. Apparently not all the time.

Flouncer, ever watch a murder of crows tear apart a squirrel nest and pull out the kits and eat them while they are screaming? I have on multiple occasions...

I have seen them on multiple occasions raid rabbit nests, eat the babies there and fly away with others. My father and I would really enjoy our crow hunting weekends, when in season, while we used an owl & crow decoys and an electronic caller. We were glad we reloaded shotgun shells, because we would shoot a large number each weekend.

I think the best or worst year saw about 20 of the buggers on the ground. I even hung a couple from the tree but it didnt phase them. On days when Id leave for work and forget something and drive back 3 seconds later30-50 would flush from the tree. $%^&*&^

Minnesota, being an extremely progressive (left wing) state, words the regs on crows very precisely: Crow may be taken ONLY if they are doing damage..or..about to do damage!
