Do you use a rekease trigger in your rifle

Pretty common in Trap, but if you try one, I think you will find it is nothing like having a 1.5-2 ounce BR Trigger. I think they are dangerous for any shooting.

I cant imagine any rifle shooter on any of these forums will think a release trigger is a good idea nor would want you on the line with them while using one. If you flinch bad enough to need a release trigger on a rifle you should step down in cartridge size

Dusty I knew a shooter who flinched so bad , he put release triggers in all of his shotguns & rifles even 22 rimfire. He owned a tool&die shop in Ohio . His name was E G Hoblit . He and herb ore at .Winchester we're great friends.

Tried my bosses release trigger trap gun once and only once! Not natural and a pain if you get a broken target thrown from the house. You have to break the action open while maintaining pressure on the trigger. Would be almost impossible if a cease fire is called while on the line with a rifle.

Never Ever thought the release trigger idea was a good one on anything that sends any projectile away from the person holding the apparatus, period.

Man, can you imagine hunting with one, with a skittish buck that prances off 100 yards or so the moment you raise the rifle & depress the release trigger - then does it again & again ........

It solves a problem, that's a flinch. One of the reasons I quit shooting sporting clays and ended up in the rifle world...I had a flinch and couldn't shake it. It's definitely not preferred by those that have to use them...but they are at their wits end.

Never heard or seen one on a rifle, it's a shotgun thing.
