6 Lapua Dasher brass to 6BRA?

Is it possible to reform 6Lapua Dasher brass to 6BRA?
Just wondering?
Thanks.
As mentioned the sizing of dasher brass back to BRA will create a wrinkled shoulder that will never go away.
For giggles I resized a Dasher back to BR, then blew it back out to dasher....didn’t handle the stretch to well.

I tried it a few times. Turned into a mess each time. Major shoulder and body wrinkles. Never tried to headspace one of the cases and fire it in a BRA. Just was not worth it. Crazy what you think of when you find a bunch of Dasher brass with loose primer pockets. Just had to try.

The definitive answer is probably .... "NO"!

I did say you could but I said I can
But it is nothing I would do it would take 6 or more dies to do it
You must step the shoulder back ten thousand at a time merry Christmas

I am new to this forum. I starting participating in forums over 20 years ago though I am not active much anymore. My going in assumption is that all forums are crap and until now this one had pleasantly surprised me.

This thread, sadly, ended my pleasant surprise. If it is the norm for you guys to gang up and ridicule someone who asks an honest question, PLEASE let me know now so I will know to quit participating.

There was a first time for each of us trying to push back a 40 degree shoulder, and I still remember how badly that turned out for me. Kudos to the OP for asking the question before trying.........something that many of us obviously did not do.........

None of what I posted was to the OP or to his question(s).
And what I posted is solely for humor !.!.!

Regardless, Happy Holidays to ya !.!.!

It’s not you, it’s MY bad. I am just not a good fit for Internet Forums, or any social media for that matter. My best role is lurking and participating in the classifieds.

Just remember that even though you won’t see me, I’ll
be watching........ ;) :D

Thanks for all the input. I realized quickly the futility of the attempt. The humor was fitting. Especially the cat eating the cactus.
I’m pretty much all in with starting the season with all the brass, powder, bullets and primers I need to finish the season. I’m hoping the BRA will get me there w/o a second barrel, which happened with the 6x47’s. My backup rifle can easily be the dasher.
Thanks for all the input.

All walks of shooters here.
ya gotta pick through searching for solutions, ignoring non solutions and enjoying pics of a cat biting a cactus !
I wonder what the second pic would have been ! ?

It can be done with proper dies and technique. Depending on how many times the Dasher has been fired and resized will determine where it will stretch to form the BRA after being pushed back with a 30 degree die enough to form a 30 degree shoulder to push back the shoulder wall to the correct BRA case wall length then reform to a 40 degree shoulder at the correct datum line.

With all said and done, what brass that makes it through the journey will never be consistent quality brass. I would never do it for a customer as there is way too much stretch and thinning of the case walls from firing and forming.

And you will be sorry!
