New Guy.

Is there a FAQ somewhere that explains that message? I tried posting to another thread and got the same message. HTH is one supposed to know if such and such content is allowed or not. I don't have "classified" posting permission yet so it must be construing my content as buy/sell related. GRRRR

It sounds like you may be hitting the wall the boss is building to protect us from scammers. He’s had to limit content of “new or low posters”. Either get “yacky” or wait out the 30 days. The new rules should be posted in the tops of the boards.
Sorry for the inconvenience but we’ve been getting a lot more scammers lately.
Be careful yourselves if a “new guy” offers you the deal of the century!
Buying a Silver or Gold Membership gets you in faster. It also tells other members that you’re here to stay and willing to support the forum. That’s a good “cred” to have here.
Good luck and Merry Christmas!
Josh

Just pad your post count with braindead posts like:
1. I'm here to learn x3
2. I want to learn from the best-good for 5 posts.
3. Fantastic shooting, I want to be able to do that- good for 3 posts
4. Any gun cleaning thread, 60 ways to skin a cat x5
5. Get in involved in a shoulder bump thread, complete with datum lines, that alone will push you over the top both in number of posts and your personal tolerance levels.
Edit: Find a top accuracy post and lie and say you are developing a new barrel, 20 R rifling, will render all barrels obsolete, be prepared to fight for your very existence though, you will have 200 in 3 days and with it full privileges.

I could send him a Talisman, if he talked about it he would get at least 100.

I spent a ton here and MOST was well spent. But if you are looking,I have several rifles fired and unfired, target and hunting, all for sale.Reloading equipment up the wazoo and most new and in the box,so send me a wish list, maybe I can help you lighten that wallet. Tom

Since there doesn't seem to be an option to cancel a post, how does one remove a post that contains disallowed content? I noticed that the stuff I wanted to post last night is still there, but not visible.

There is a “delete thread” option if you started a thread. You can also delete a post you made. Look under “more options” at the bottom right.

When I chose more options there was nothing but this error message.

"The content you want to post is not allowed."

So i just kept editing it until it was allowed and then deleted it. Clever huh?

I did have a better choice of options when posting this so there's that.

I just figured out how i got all this gun stuff..........you guys said I would save money!!!! Welcome to the best form on the web.

New guys...just keep in mind that the "Classifieds" section is for buying and selling, and access is limited by the mentioned rules. You cannot (should not) ask general questions etc on those particular subsections. The place to ask is in the thread sections above that, like general forum, etc. The only questions to be asked in the classifieds are questions directly related to a listed item...example.."is this still for sale" or "what size is the scope tube?" etc etc.

Ask how and when to anneal your brass
Annealing? I've heard of that.
Ask how and when to anneal your brass
my sense of humor has
Thanks, I hope so. I’m getting carried away quickly with these long range setups.
maybe you want to search your particular query - using the search tool before posting a question -- ALOT of info available. Serious gifted, talented, renowned and well-respected (best in class) folks/shooters/machinists/hunters/gunsmiths posting here. Don't let the joshing fool ya. :). post away, we all enjoy learning, or helping.
