Magpul PRS Gen 3 Butt Plate Modification

I always have to modify the stock to get it long enough and get the butt plate low enough to get a gun to fit correctly. I used a free CAD software program to design the adapter and a friend printed it out on a 3D printer. I just wish Magpul would allow another 1" travel in their standard design.

I wish they at least offered an extension like you’ve created here. I would also like to have one that would offset the buttplate a little to one side. Then you would be better able to get behind the scope and keep the butt in you’re shoulder. I have the same grip on a RPR. I really like the way it puts your finger in position on the trigger. Got one coming for the SDM rifle.

I believe there is side to side adjustment on the stock butt pad, maybe a 1/4"?

If you can get access to a 3D printer, you can design what you want. This is my design but I skewed to the right. Now that I think about it, I should have probably skewed to the left if you shoot right handed.

No you’re correct with skewing to the right. Then with the buttplate in the usual location the rest of the buttstock would be be pushed to the left.
I don’t have access to anything like a 3D printer, but thanks for your suggestions!

These are the types of discussions which should be the breeding ground for a new small business to get started. You all are so creative with the solutions you bring forward, you should pool resources or set up a small business directed towards shooters who need small parts for their rifles. Sure there will be start up costs but the same is required for any new business. If I wasn't busy I'd look at this real hard...
