BLASPHEMER!!!!!
I just wet my pants...View attachment 1076268 You can keep a look out for a deal and sometimes they just fall in your lap.
I just picked this up yesterday, 40XBR 222 , 2 oz trigger, Redfield 3200 20x, made in 1975. That’s when Mike Walker and Warren Page were shootin the same gun.
It’s in like-new condition, less than 100 rounds through it.
I got the book The Accurate Rifle by Page in 1976 and have lusted after the 40XBR in 222 ever since.I just wet my pants...
That one sounds peachy.I built mine a little over a year ago. Thought about buying factory new, but something inside me wanted to build it off of the action that made it popular so I snagged a used 722 action and found a bartlein 13 tw remington varmint countour barrel and had it chambered. Its been a joy to resurect this old action, in fact I just had it re-blued last week and it looks like new again. Shoots just about every bullet I put in it sub moa without even trying.

I felt it was a good choice to handle the 53-55 gn bullets that I was pinning my hopes on yet still maximize speed. So far its worked for the 53 gn varmageddons. Testing on the 55s will start when I get bored I suppose.13 twist, interesting. E
